Come and experience the best of the Kootenays!

We welcome you to come and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. We have four distinct seasons and the views of the lake and surrounding area are ever changing. There is a wide variety of bird and wildlife. Bald eagles and osprey are frequent visitors and if you are lucky you will be serenaded by the loons in the early mornings and evenings. We also have wild turkeys and the odd blue heron. Deer are quite often seen grazing in the yard or watering at the lake..

We invite you to sit out at night and just look up. The evening sky is spectacular. Watch for falling stars or track the many satellites.

How to Find The Cabin

We are just off Highway 3A on the road to Riondel. We are 40 km northeast of Nelson by way of the Kootenay Lake Ferry and 80 km north of Creston. Driving times are about 8 hours from Vancouver, BC, 6 hours from Calgary, Alberta, and 4 hours from Spokane, Washington.

The Cabin is located on Kootenay Lake, a short drive from the Kootenay Bay Ferry Landing. The communities of Kootenay Bay, Crawford Bay and Riondel are nearby. The Cabin is located on a wooded lot with a private road (no traffic).  It sits on a rocky point overlooking the lake with a private gently sloping pebble beach. It is quite safe for children, however, as this is a lakefront cabin, children must be supervised at all times.
